Збиті рими – Ovo projects

Fallen Rhymes is an art project by the OVO Literary Agency aimed at promoting military poetry through the music of contemporary artists. The project brings together poetry written by servicemen and servicewomen with musical bands to share the experiences of our heroes with a wide audience.

The project is dedicated to supporting the Voices of Children Charitable Foundation: a portion of the royalties from each stream of the song is donated to assist families with children who are enduring the hardships of war, particularly the families of Ukrainian defenders.

Our Story

The story of Fallen Rhymes began in May 2025 with the London presentation of the book “Letters of Love and War” by Pavlo Matiusha and Viktoriia Matiush. The book is based on the couple’s real-life correspondence: Viktoriia temporarily relocated to France with their children, while Pavlo remained in Ukraine to defend the country.

The performance featured actress and director Yevheniia Shymshyrian and actor Danylo Kamenskyi; the evening was moderated by art curator Victoria Stepanets. The English translations were prepared by Matvii Smirnov and Daisy Gibbons.

The project is being developed as a series of music albums recorded by bands based on the texts of Ukrainian military authors.

До першого альбому увійшли пісні від таких музичних гуртів, як Mad Heads, Енджі Крейда, Molodsha, Mnishek, Helen Burton&Anna Shpilevska, TaRuta, Очеретяний Кіт, та The Anderson на тексти наших героїв Максима Кривцова, Валерія Пузіка, Петра Маги, Anatoliy Anatoliy, Дмитра Лазуткіна, Олександра Лисака та Ігоря Мітрова.

The project is implemented by the OVO Literary Agency in partnership with the NGO Horizons Without Borders.
